There’s a farm near my house where they keep sheep. It has a beautiful barn. The owner wanted a place for the sheep that would provide some shelter between the feeding area and the outdoors, a sort of “morning room” where they could have the sun (it opens to the south and east) and be sheltered from the wind, rain, and snow. It was built about 20 years ago and it’s been well used by the flock, witness the broken shingles where they’ve rubbed against the wall.No, I don’t want sheep for clients. Even sheep tell you what they think of the design in their own way. Whether it’s people or sheep, the design lives or dies on how well it satisfies the client’s needs.
